Default BBQ - fathers day

So my hubby was working for his uncle today which left me in charge of the grill for our BBQ. We invited his dad and my parents up! I had the flames so high that my dad took over! We made burgers and hots. I felt bad that he had to help but I was glad he was there.

People never say it but grilling is an art. I am sure everyone still had delicious food and a lot of fun! I burn stuff on our grill all the time!

I always have the flame too low and it takes forever for food to get done. When my husband takes over, he turns the flame up and the food gets done faster and is perfect.

I think I need some more practice when it comes to grilling! High flame or smoke freaks me out, so I don't mind spending more time getting the meat done over low flame.

I was going to grill up some hot dogs and hamburgers, but everyone said there was enough BBQ for them. Did two butts for 18 hours roughly, and some ribs for 8 hours or so. The wife did some quicker ribs in the oven.

My husband has to do all the grilling around here...even on Father's Day. I don't even attempt to cook outside. I bought him a big, fat rib eye to cook on Father's Day so he was happy

That sounds like it was a pretty hot day but all in good fun since we know that no one was hurt during the cooking process. I would hate to think what my husband would say if I stepped anywhere near his grill.
