Default Father-Daughter Wedding Dance Songs

My friend is getting married next month. She's looking for the perfect song for the father-daughter dance at the wedding reception. Any songs you have in mind?

Are you looking for a particular genre of song - rock, country, or something else?

One song I am always hearing down here is Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle. It's a country song.

I have another country suggestion - My Little Girl by Tim McGraw. My husband is always saying when our daughter gets married he wants to dance with her to that song.

I didn't realize how many country songs would work well for a father-daughter dance. All the examples I can think of are country. I was at a wedding last month where the father and daughter danced to The Way You Look Tonight.

Country songs would be fine. They aren't very particular about the genre. I just saw the lyrics of Butterfly Kisses and My Little Girl. They're perfect for a father-daughter dance. The message of each song is loud and clear...The Way you Look Tonight is actually one of my personal favorites. Thanks for the suggestions.

All three songs are beautiful. It will be up to her to decide which one she likes better. I have heard Butterfly Kisses played a lot at receptions and it always makes me tear up.
