My daughter is literally begging to try out for football – problem is she is at the JV level and I don’t like the idea. She is not a big girl at all – she just has it in her head that she wants to play. I keep telling her Heck no! The coach is my cousin and he tells her No too. She is being pretty miserable about it. How can I get her to see that it’s not a good thing? Should I let her go to a practice and try it – I’m sure the boys would crush her and maybe that is what she needs to stop asking??

Maybe you let her play a practice or 2 and let her see how hard it is. Then again you have to be sure that you are willing to let her play if you let her practice. She might show you up and play the whole season.
