Finally, our youngest sat on Santa's lap today. We have seen him a few times in the different stores but he just refused to go up and sit on his lap for some reason. Now why he picked this Santa we don't know but at least we now have a picture of him with Santa.
That is great! Maybe this Santa looked friendlier than the other Santa's. Then again your son could have just been in the mood this time. I'm glad you got a picture though!
Awesome ~ Have you been talking to him about Santa and sitting on his lap? Maybe it just sank in that it was ok to do. That Santa could have looked friendlier than the others (like Livvie said).
I NEVER sat on Santa's lap when I was a kid. I was scared to death of any of them with that great white beard. It really, really scared me. I never did sit on his lap, even when I got older and understood that it was someone friendly or someone I knew and could trust. It just freaked me out.
That's wonderful!! I'm glad he finally did! It can be traumatic for kids especially since you have to give them the "Stranger Danger" talk these days to protect them. I'm so glad he got to experience the magic.
