Default I'm so crazy

So my parents just bought a new mattress and box spring and they gave it to me for my daughter. They bought another set too. This one was slept on about 2 days. My mom kept telling me that it was a Full size set. I bought a pillow top pad ($50) and sheets and everything as we have no full size beds here.
We could not get any of them to fit- the bed is a Queen!

Well that would put a damper on things huh? Was there really no tag on the stuff? I have had that issue before and most times it would happen when you crash at a friends house and the friend swears its one size but its not.

Oh yes there was a tag on the mattress, but we didn't look at it. It was at my moms place for about 6 months and she swore she bought a full size. My daughter is happy as anything to have the queen size. We made all the changes yesterday. The pillow top was $20 more and the sheets were $10 more.

That happens often. I now take the exact measurements with a tape measure and list them down so I get it right the first time. Experience is a great teacher, really!

Too funny! So you didn't know what size your parents had bought! Well I'm glad you got it all fixed. I hope it's super comfy for your daughter!

Many people have this issue and I know we are not the only ones. The oddest thing though, an Aunt of mine has a kind of like daybed but it looks to be a queen or full and we can not measure it for the life of us. Any suggestions?

I never measured the bed - I just bought the next size sheets for it. I actually bought the deep pocket sheets - they seem to work best for all beds.

Have you any luck with the daybed yet?
