Default Keeping a schedule

I was just wondering if other stay at home moms (or dads) try to keep the kids on a schedule when you are at home. I have been trying to work my way into a schedule for me and my little one but we are struggling with it.

When we were a home schooling family we had a loose schedule. It was the only way that we could get everything done in the day and still have recreation time with the kids.

I use a schedule as well that is a tentative sort of schedule. We let things change if they need to, but otherwise we try to keep some sense of routine for ourselves.

I can see the good and bad that comes with any type of schedule but in life things happen that can cause a stir with schedules too. Right now we have certain things that are scheduled and others are "loose" but we do what we can each day and sometimes still have those hectic ones too.

Yeah, I am not talking about a strict schedule. She's only one but I am trying to work from home part-time and keep on top of the household chores too! We are working on it though!
