My kids have been complaining so much recently. I really hate the summer! We do not have money to go do a bunch of fancy things. I know their jealous because all of their friends go to theme parks, camping, on vacation and out to eat. I do not think I can cope with this complaining much longer.

How old are your kids? Are they old enough to cut grass or something like that for the neighbors to make their own money for summer activities?

Is there anything cheap or free nearby you can do? Around here there is a lot for the kids to do free - beach, bike riding, hiking, skating. You don't have to spend money to have fun!
