Just make it clear to your children that you do not condone that type of behaviour. Let your children know also that if the relatives do not behave in your house you will correct them also. It will make a good object lesson for your children.

There are always the odd members of the clan. I can't change the attitudes of the parents as well as the character of their children. So the advice about not letting these naughty children get inside your house is also what I would recommend, even if they are part of the family.

If the truth be known, my wife and our kids are the odds one in the family. None of my nieces or nephews on my wife's side of the family have been raised to have manners like our kids so I just stay clear of them.

There is a 17 year old intern at work, and he was given three verbal and two written warnings for his poor work. Because he is still techically a minor, our boss had to have a conference with him and is parents to make them aware he is very close to getting the sack. The whole time all she did was tell his boss he was wrong- and her son is a good worker...

...Needless to say, they both didn't learn anything from the conference and his final warning will be given out very soon.
