Default Protecting your family

I just watched a video about a lady who has been threw horrible times this holiday season and she ended up having to shoot someone who was entering her home without permission. How far would you go to protect your family? The story really does make you wonder.

I would totally protect my family but I think the news people too it a tad too far with the recreation acts in the video. It is almost disturbing to watch every few seconds seeing a gun waved around.

That poor woman! I heard this morning that her husband died of cancer on Christmas Day. And then this! I say more power to her for shooting that crud! She had her baby to protect and I think she did the right thing.

I hope that day never comes to our house. I can't say what I would be capable of doing to protect my family but I'm pretty sure I would do my best, whatever that means.

I would do almost anything to protect my family but killing someone is the most horrible thing to do on this world. I hope it never comes to that.

I think if I really had to I would highly injure the person before killing them in front of my kids that is, of any age (even teens). Then again with a situation like this "what if" is all you could do within being in that situation first to see how you react.

I have absolutely no problem eliminating any threat to my family. Do I want to have to kill someone? Absolutely not. Am I prepared to do what needs to be done without a second's hesitation? Absolutely.

I think the young lady in this story showed incredible courage in a horrible situation, and I am glad that she and her baby came out alright. If she had not been armed it might have been a very different story.

Like they say, better be judged by 12 then carried by 6. I tell my wife to announce she has a shot gun, lock her and our kids in the bedroom closet, which the bedroom door locks, and the closet door locks. Call 911 and if anyone gets to the closet door and enters, shoot them.

Absolutely Jason. Anybody who breaks into this house is going to have a very bad day. MissyK that is the first thing they will teach you in gun safety class...shoot to kill or not at all.

America needs to grow a backbone. This is exactly why all households should be armed, especially a young women with a baby. If more people took this stance, maybe these dirtbags would get the message.
