I'm sorry but expecting kids to go to school all day and then go to bamd practice for 2 hours and then volleyball for another hour each night is too much!
No my kids are not doing this but a couple of their friends are.
Not every parent thinks the same way as the rest do. Kids decide the hobbies they like, parents decide if they are willing to take on that challenge or not.
I agree that it's each parents choice but I also blame the schools for making the practice's so long. There is no need for 2 hour practice's for each extracurricular activity.
It all has to do with competition. Even bands compete against other school bands for trophies and such. Gone are the days when you played for fun, I really do not know how kids do it all!
