Default A tough holiday for loved ones

I have several members of my family who struggle with sobriety. New Years is always a difficult time for them as it is such a big drinking holiday. My Church is hosting a "dry" New Years Eve party, and several in my family will be going. They will be showing a movie, have food, non-alcoholic beverages and different games available for everyone attending. They are even hosting the local AA group. I am so happy they have planned this!

I wish everyone who struggles with sobriety a safe and sober New Years Eve.

It's funny, you don't always think about things like this, but I would imagine it is a tough holiday. How nice that your Church does something like this for the people in the community. I'm sure it is appreciated.

I always worry about people on this day even those who say they are no longer drinking. There are a few in my family who struggle the same way and I always call to check in on them.
