I was considering getting one of these but I'm not sure how well they endure heat which we sometimes have since these dogs are used to strong winters. Anybody with advice?

These tend to endure cold better. I know since my friend has a few. But they can endure heat as well, although they are not "designed" for extremely high temperatures.
