Default Do Dogs and Cats get Hiccups?

I have a cat that has been getting the hiccups. I've just never thought of an animal getting them. She has had them a few times but only for a short period at a time. Is anyone here familiar with this?

Sure they can, I've seen my dog get them often. It's funny to watch her. I don't think I've noticed the cats though, but they probably do.

Well thanks Livvie, I just have never heard of dogs or cats getting hiccups before. I guess I just may have not paid much attention. My cat all but sits on my PC when I'm at my desk so guess I just happen to catch her with them because she was so close. I won't worry so about it now.

Dog at my grandparents house always had hiccups. Not all the time but from time to time. It is normal and it looks quite funny.

Yes, my dog gets the hiccups sometimes, too. It IS very funny. It's sort of cute, too. It's like watching your new born baby getting their first hiccups. You can't help but giggle.
