My cat was always tipping over her water bowl so I bought her a plastic doggie water bowl. It's bigger and more sturdy and doesn't have the stupid handles on the side that my cat used to tip it. She puts her paw in and licks it and seems to drink more now.

A happy fix! We use a people bowl for our cats, it's cute and heavy so they don't knock it over too. I was sick of cleaning the floor when they ran and knocked it over.
