Default Dog has fleas

Can someone please tell me some flea medicine that works! My dog has fleas and we have already tried Frontline and some kind of pill that was supposed to kill fleas in 24 hours to no avail! I have 2 small kids in the house with the dog so this is completely unacceptable.

We use Revolution, it is new but it is a great product that protects against fleas, ticks and heart worm. You can get it at a vets office and at a few pet stores.

Frontline stopped working for us. We have switched to K9 Advantix and it works a lot better. We also treated the yard and the furniture with a Growth regulator for fleas. There are some out there that you can use at night and the fumes will be gone before you get up the next morning.

You may want to try canning salt on your carpets, in the crevices of your floors, sweep it under the baseboards, sprinkle under couch cushions.

Good luck.

Whatever you plan on using if the dog has gotten into the house make sure you have a good vacuum. Anything that kills the adults and not the eggs are going to be a pain to deal with and you will need to constantly vacuum in order to get rid of them all.

There is stuff they sell called M7 I think, or Borax. I bet you can find the Borax cheaper as the link has Boric Acid too. But whenever we had fleas we would wash everything. Put down M7 or Borax on the carpets, couches, or any place where fleas may be. Sweep it in and let it sit for about an hour before vacuuming up. While we were waiting the dogs got a bath with flea shampoo. I would also put borax out in the yard, along with a general pesticide. And the wife last time put some stuff on them, I think the K9. Once, maybe twice and fleas were gone.

Very rarely do we have them anymore as we treat the yard regularly.
