Default Dogs catching mice

I have a cat, but it's one of my dogs that is the expert mouser. She amazes me with her stalking skills and when she sets out to catch a mouse, she's almost always successful. My cat, on the other hand, couldn't care less about the mice.

That's funny and kind of a switch for a change. That sounds like my kind of dog too! I hate mice and it would be good to know that if my cat didn't catch one then my dog would come to the rescue.

I have never heard of a dog catching a mouse before, anything else yet but never a mouse. What type of dog do you have, maybe I have just always had the wrong breed!

This is the first time I've ever heard about a dog catching mice too. Does he play with them? Does he eat them? How silly but good for you especially since your cat won't catch them.

She's a Catahoula and, no, she doesn't play with them. She's very proud and protective of her mice (once they're dead, of course!) It's really the funniest thing. What drives me nuts is that the cat will lay there and watch her, but he won't lift a paw to help. I think he needs to start doing more to earn his keep around here!
