Default Escaped - :(

My indoor cat snuck out of the house last night and we did not realize it. We were outside working in the garden and I heard a terrible screech! My cat was in the road! He is fine – I think he might have hit the car that was going by and it scared him. We took him to the vet today just to be sure – said they thought he was in shock.

Glad to see the cat was ok. I always worry about my pets getting out.

I am sure its a worry many others face. Our road is busy and many of our neighbors do not pay attention to the leash law in our area. Just about anytime someone comes up the road I worry they might hit some kids pet.

I'm glad he is OK. It's amazing the amount of trouble an animal can get into. Four of our neighbor's alpacas got out of their fence and another neighbor shot them. They are a very gentle, pack animal and we have no idea why he thought he had to shoot them instead of just calling the man and telling him to come and get them. That was a loss of $6000 since they usually sell for $1500 each since they are a fur animal and they harvest their fur twice a year. We have some seriously warped neighbors. We are all upset about it and the guy who shot them doesn't know why we are all upset.
