Default Favorite breed of dog

Whats your favorite bread of dog? I've always liked Schnauzers and Irish Wolf Hounds.

My favorite dog breed is Rottweiler, and I would love to own one. I know that they have a reputation of being dangerous, but people who own them say that they are big babies.

The best dog I ever had was a little mongrel, I have no idea what breeds were mixed together to make him, but he had a lovely nature and a huge personality.

I agree that the very best breed of dog is a mixed breed. I have heard that they are much easier to train than purebreeds. I've always hud mutts and they've been great.

I think it is hard to generalise about mixed breed dogs because they are all so different

I have two that I just can't choose between, so I'll name them both. I've always liked dalmatians and sheepdogs, so we'll call them both my favorites.

Katharina, my daughter is potty about dalmatians, they are beautiful but they are big dogs, you would need a big house. What sort of sheepdog do you mean? We have a Border Collie.

I meant those beautiful furry balls of fluff, the Old English Sheepdog.

Dalmatians are not only big, yes, but I've heard that they can develop a
number of problems. I'm pretty sure I heard that many of them are deaf....
much higher than other breeds.

I've also heard that they're not really good with children, but I don't think
something like that can be generalized. I've seen dalms being great with
kids.

I didn't know that. My dog has selective deafness especially when I am calling her in from outside. Come to think of it my husband has selective deafness too.
