Just drop an ice cube or two into the cat's water bowl if you don't feel like bending over and picking it up to fill it. They love to play with it. Of course I also pour from my pitcher of water-she hears the sound and comes running to watch the water come out.

We have a cat that loves to play with ice cubes. If I drop one while getting ice at of the freezer I will call her and she usually takes care of it. Plays with it for a little while then eats the rest of it.

I always add ice cubes to the cats water dish - both of my cats love to play with ice. When one drops on the floor on accident, it's a race to get to it before they do.
