Default Food Allergy in Cats?

I have an older cat that has been throwing up every so often for a long time now. She will go quite a while then all of a sudden she starts. I have finally come to the conclusion that she has a food allergy. Is it possible for older cats (she is almost 10) to develop something like this? I've been really watching and keeping track of what she eats for the past few weeks and it seems to be making a difference.

I don't really know for sure. I know that I have developed allergies as I have gotten older. I can't say why a cat can't. So are you tracking what you are feeding her when she gets sick?

I'm pretty sure animals can develop allergies at any age. Plus, I am of the belief that some pets are just pukers by nature. It could be that her stomach is getting more sensitive with age. Did you change her food and get a good response?

Thanks for your responses. And yes, I have changed her food. I've been trying to pay close attention to what she is eating and found a combination that see seems to be holding down, so far. I'm sticking with that for now. Only problem is that it's a much more expensive brand of cat food! But she looks so pitiful when she gets sick so I will just manage the extra expense.
