Default Heartworm, fleas, worms

I recently bought some Trifexis from the vet for my dog. I love it. It prevents heartworms, kills fleas and infestations, and intestinal worms, all in just one pill. It has saved me time, money and aggravation because I have had to buy these things separately in the past. A six month supply cost $114.

Seriously? There is something that works on all 3. That is awesome. Do you have to give it to your dog every day? I wonder if they have something similar for cats?

I would like to know more about Trifexis too. My dog seems to get worms often so is this a maintenance drug? $114 is a lot for meds if they don't have anything wrong with them.

There are very few combo med's for pets, I guess they can not mix them all together for some of the stuff. I know that we use something for the cats that does a 3-1 too but I forget the name of it.

No Livvie, it is a once a month pill. I think it is a decent price as a preventative measure. My vet told me if my dog contracted heartworms it would cost $1500 to treat. Plus, I was paying $50 for a three month supply of FrontLine prior. I'm not sure if they have something for cats, but I bet they do.

I might need to look into these a bit and see what they have that we could use. The close places in our area have insane prices that we are just tired of dealing with.
