I've got two kittens, and one of them doesn't seem to use the litter box no matter what I try. Her sister has no problems using the litter box and neither do their parents, but this kitten just doesn't use it. It's not like she avoids it either, as she does approach or even get in the box (when following the other cats). I'm at my wits end here as I never had this problem with my other cats. Help! >_<

Awwww, little kitties are so sweet! Our furbaby didn't have any problem catching onto the box but I don't know that we did anything in particular. I *do* remember sitting her in it and taking her paw to do the scratching motion (very gently!) to "show" her what to do.

Now since it's instinct I'm not sure if that's what worked or not but we did that after she used the paper, like directly after.

I have tried putting the kitten in the box before, but it didn't work. Never thought of moving its paw around and making scraping motions, though. Maybe that will work.

In do wonder what she avoids the litter box, though. You'd think a kitten would use the same litter box its parents use.
