Default How to get rid of one mean squirrel!

He/she has manged to create a hole in the eve of the roof and we can not get rid of it. If you walk to near that corner it will start making all kinds of evil noises and act like it is going to jump on you. It has got to go! Any suggestions?

Set up a trap - then lure it into the trap with some sort of food. Go to bed, and hopefully in the morning the mean squirrel will be in the trap. Problem solved!

I would try either a trap or poison. You definitely want to get rid of it though because squirrels can cause a lot of damage.

You can either call a pest removal service or set a trap yourself. Then once you catch her you can fix the hole so nothing else crawls in there.

My friend has squirrels eating the wires in his engine compartment of his truck. He has tried poison, but unless they eat it all, rat poison just thins their blood and they can recover. He tried sticky traps, and that did nothing. He now shoots them with a pellet gun. Takes some practice but it works.

Close the eve and set the traps, you can buy your own online for much cheaper than you can in hiring someone to come out and do it for you. When you close the eve do not be fooled by the metal mesh alone, do that along with real wooden support to keep them out. Been there, done that - twice!

Well thanks for all the advice. We may try the trap, not sure what to do with it once we have it in the trap. I guess take it a long way from home and let it go? He really is a mean one though and we're afraid he will actually jump on someone so we will start with the traps and see what happens. It has got to go!
