Default Indoor or outdoor cats

I have had cats for my entire lifetime and have had them as indoor and outdoor pets. I think I prefer when they are outdoor because they don't have the opportunity to shed all over my house.

Which do you prefer?

Right now I have the best of both worlds - one indoor, one outdoor. The indoor one is fat and lazy and although he does shed all over everything, he's very low maintenance. The outdoor one is incredibly sweet, but she's a little high strung and she's just better off being in the great outdoors. Paying attention to their personalities and doing what was best for them and our family has worked out quite well.

I have my very first personal pet (since moving out of my parents' house three years ago) and I've only had her a few weeks. She's a calico kitten and full of energy. She's an indoor cat and I plan to keep her that way. Because I live near a busy highway I don't have a choice but to keep her inside. I don't mind though. She's a lot of fun being inside with me all day.
