Default Introducing a new kitten

If you already have multiple cats, what is the best way to introduce a new kitten to the group? I'm afraid that the others (all adults) will gang up on a new kitten if I get one.

Well, we have always had cats and when ever we tried to introduce a new kitten, it was no problem but another adult cat.....well they didn't seem to like an adult cat much so it took some time for them to adjust to each other. Maybe yours will be the same way. But do take it slow just in case.

It's definitely a good idea to take it slow. The first few times they interact with the kitten make sure you show that you are holding it and it is welcome in the home. I have had some cats welcome new ones and some have tried to attack at first. It depends on their personalities.

The best way to introduce any new pet is to keep the new one in a separate room for a few days. They will sniff each other through the door and your existing cats will get used to the new scent. Then you can start introducing everyone face to face.

Bella is right on with this one - keep them in different rooms. You can let them near each other after a few days. Always been in the room when they are in the same room together. Keep them in separate rooms when you can't be in the area.
