Is there anyone here who has tried Pedi-Paws nailing clipping system? I'm wondering if it is safe and efficient for them. I'm scared to death to cut my dog's nails. His nails are black, so I can not see the quick at all.

I have no idea what that is but our vet recommended a brand for us to use for both the cats and dogs here which we got. Sadly I do not remember the name of it but it has a guard set, kind of like hair trimmers do that helps to avoid hitting the quick of the nail.

I need something like that. I really hate to even try to trim my dogs nails (we won't even talk about the cats!). I'm just afraid I will end up hurting them. Wish you could remember the name of that product.

I clip the dogs nails with a toe nail clipper. For anyone who might be apprehensive about doing it, they make a product you can keep on hand to stop bleeding in case you go too far. I've never bought it, so I can't remember the name, but I'm sure any pet store would carry it.

We just file ours down, the cats hate it but the dog seems to enjoy the pampering time. Now if we could just get him to like taking baths!
