We live in the country and we have a neighbor who lets his dog run free. I don't have a problem with that but I do have a problem with the dog coming onto my porch and making off with plastic statues and candle holders and such. Every time I catch him in my yard I set of a firecracker but he just waits until I go to bed. So what do I do? Any ideas.

Have you tried setting a trap for him? I mean try this, lightly mist your statues and things with water, then sprinkle cayenne pepper over everything. I bet he doesn't take anything anymore. And once he learns you no longer have things that feel good in his mouth, he won't carry off things and will avoid your things. It actually is a compliment though. He must like your smell or he wouldn't take your things.
