We acquired a new kitten a while back and he has grown enough to start wanting outside a lot now. Well it seems one of our older (mostly) outside cats has not taken a liking to him. And this is a big heavy older cat too. So we now have to keep a close eye on the kitten when goes out. He used to go out in the backyard and stay but now likes to come around to the front, which is where the other cat stays. Oh why can't they just all get along?

Well I imagine that makes for a calm household! I'm sure the new kitten will soon learn to stay clear of the older cat. Hopefully by the time he is bigger they will learn to tolerate each other.

Maybe the older cat is angry because the kitten gets to be inside and the older one is not. That would make me angry! It's like playing favorites.

I bet the kitten will get used to the older cat and stay away. Perhaps the older cat will start to like the younger kitten? Who knows... only time will tell!

Cats seem to take longer to except other cats. At least mine did when I had them. I think they will get used to each other eventually. It's just the waiting period that is hard.
