Default Stray pets!

We have had a stray cat here for about 2 months... well I made a Vet appointment for her and the first appointment will be $52 - the second one will be closer to $75. Man - I already have 2 cats and 1 dog - why are people so irresponsible and drop off strays!

Tell me about it. That is something that really bother me a lot. Most of the animals we have now have been strays. And of course they usually need to be 'fixed'. Just don't understand people sometimes.

Well bless you for taking it in. Some would have just taken it to the pound and then they would have put it down. I really hate to see strays going hungry and like CJ said, most of the pets we have were strays.

I used to live on a farm and people would drop off cats and puppies all the time. We adopted them all of course but why people aren't more responsible in the first place is beyond me.

Oh I understand completely. It is sad to see that happen but afraid it does quite often. We have taken in many a stray over the years because of others neglect.

That is probably one of my pet peeves is people who just drop off strays at your house assuming that you will take care of them. How do they know? It is good that you are taking care of that one, I'm sure it appreciates it very much.

We have tons that are dropped off at the head of our hollow and they show up at our house, hungry and skinny and usually either pregnant or having their heat cycle. I have had to have a bunch neutered and spayed but I can't keep all of them. We have a low cost spay/neuter clinic near us, thank goodness.
