Default Tipping the Groomer?

I take my dog to the groomers a lot. Am I suppose to tip my groomer? I never do, but wonder if I should be tipping. Is tipping the standard or norm?

That is something that I have never done or even thought about. It's been a long time since I have used a groomer. I'd be curious about this though, just in case I should have the need to use one again.

I do. But I delivered UPS to the groomer/vets office for a year and the price shave gave me was close to $10 cheaper then elsewhere. We have Schnauzers and the wife has special instructions. The legs and chest/stomach get done closer then normal, while the beard remains normal. We both love the beard on the dogs and they do not get tangled as much.

We do give her a tip as a result, and we still save money versus what my parents spent. It is worth it when my wife drops off the dogs and has the kids that she will come to the car to get the dogs, and to be honest, so is so nice to us, especially when the wife has both kids, it is worth the extra tip.

It sounds like you get some special attention and a good price to boot. I would say a tip would be a nice thing to do to show your appreciation. I haven't used a groomer in a long time myself but I did tip on occasion, when they did a little something extra.

I don't use a groomer much these days, but when I do I tip them. They're hairdressers for dogs and I tip my hairdresser, so it makes sense to me.

If someone is providing you a service I personally always tip unless it states that its not allowed to be accepted. They do need to go above and beyond their job though, I am a stickler on that.
