Default Unusual pets.

Do you have something unusual as a pet? I saw a news story the other day about a man whose pet python had escaped and I wondered who else had an unusual pet.

I don't right now, but I did have an iguana for a few years. He was huge. I bought him an enormous tank and he grew to the size of his environment. Nose to tail he was almost four feet long. I enjoyed having him, but I don't think I'd ever get another one.

A man who lived a few doors away from me had an iguana, at least it was a huge lizard that strongly resembled one. The trouble was, his home was tiny and he also had a wife and kids. The one time I was in his house, the whole living room seemed to be taken up with this tank along one wall. Very overpowering!

The iguana is cool. But he is a wild animal and we need to consider its nature when we decide to pet him. I wonder if there was anyone here having the other reptile, a crocodile or alligator as his pet.

A friend of mine used to have a python too, but he gave it up when for fear that it might get loose and cause harm in the neighborhood.
