Default Weirdest pet you ever owned?

Not really weird, but I had ducks as pets growing up. A few times I had a snake that I would find and a few times I found some turtles that I was allowed to keep. The snakes where just regular garden snakes, not sure what kind of turtles they were. Usually my parents just let me keep them for about a week or so.

I had a friend whose parents used to keep pets that were hurt until they were better. They had all kinds of things from squirrels to raccoons.

I guess my "weirdest" pet was a turtle not so weird after all. Although I had a fish that was giving me the weird eye every time I fed her. I don't know if that counts?

We had a Siamese cat that was kind of weird, personally. I don't think cats are weird in general, but this one would eat dried pasta if it fell on the floor. When I took a package of raw chicken out of the fridge, he'd try to bat it out of my hand.

When he was still a kitten, the first time we ordered pizza after getting him, he climbed up my leg and back like a municipal electric worker trying to get at my slice. Once he snagged a shrimp from a shrimp cocktail setting - I picked him up off the chair but I let him keep the shrimp, and as he was being carried away, he held the shrimp in his mouth with his paw.

Hehe Funny! I've never had many pets, so nothing weird... but when it comes to cats, ours won't touch "people food" *except* for tapioca pudding. I have no idea why!

We did have an abundance of cats around the house (never pets, they just came around a lot) before we moved and they liked hot dogs... they even caught them in their mouths. And yes, I do know that feeding them hot dogs is what kept bringing them around.

I once had six stick insects and two snails as pets. I'm not sure how weird or unusual they are but I didn't know anyone else who had them. I was fascinated with those little creatures even though they weren't exactly the kind of pets you could cuddle or take for a walk.

I used to have a pet chicken who would follow me around like a dog. She even went into the house with me. I got a few spankings over that one. But when Mom's back was turned, in the house she went. We also had a lot of red earred sliders (turtles). The last were three about three years ago. They got so big I couldn't keep them in my small apartment so I sold them back to the pet store.
