Do you keep them, or bring them to the humane society, or just chase them away somehow? For some reason stray cats and dogs just LOVE my house; we have one dog which we intentionally adopted, but another dog and two cats who just wandered here on their own. For now it's not a problem - but if any more come we'll have to take them to the humane society due to lack of space and funds to feed them all. I've had to make so many trips there before with cats and I always feel so sad leaving them there!

For me, it depends on the stray. If it is a nice animal with a good attitude that is willing to get along with our family pets I'll let him/her hang around. Strays are not allowed in the house, but we live in the country and have enough room on our property as long as they behave themselves.

Well, I currently am fostering a cat that a neighbor moved off and left. He is a sweetheart and is an indoor cat so we let him in the house. He behaves himself-actually better than my two little sweetums, and is neutered so he may wind up to be a keeper.
