I got home yesterday from a softball game to find a kitten on my porch. He/She (have not looked yet) is the cutest thing but I can't take him in. I already have 2 and 1 dog. I called some friends that I know but they don't want another pet.
Do you have any 'no kill' animal shelters around where you live? You might try putting a nice little notice in your local paper to see if someone will take it in. And just keep asking around, you may get lucky.
That is so sad and I hate to see that happen but it does. We have ended up with many a pet over the years because someone dropped on off and I just couldn't find a home for it. You may just have to keep asking around until you find someone to take it in.
I have been feeding her (it's a her we decided) and I took out a pillow for her too. I can't bring her in the house, my other 2 cats would freak. It breaks my heart to see any unwanted pet.
Take a picture and post it on facebook (if you have an account). I have seen this happen often and usually within a couple of days the kitten is adopted.
Yeah, just be careful because some people who get kittens off of Facebook are getting them to feed to their snakes. Other than that it is your best hope.
