Default Appliances

You know I am so fed up with all the junk in my kitchen! I have a toaster, milkshake maker, blender, waffle iron, kettle and the list goes on of JUNK sitting on my bench top. I always put in back in the cupboard but my husband and kids have made it a habit of leaving them on the bench. What's your tips for storing your appliances?

My kitchen is really small and I don't have a lot of space on my countertops for anything other than a microwave. I have a shelf in a pantry where I keep most of my small appliances. It's easy to keep neat and helps the kitchen not appear to be too messy.

I have this problem with the wife. It is the opposite though. I like the kitchen counters clean. Coffee maker, and maybe a few jars for treats (microwave is over the stove). But she leaves everything out. I have ended up putting a cabinet in the garage and just move all the appliances there.
