We have a new home and the attic is currently filled with previous owners junk but this weekend we are cleaning it out. What are some ways that I can organize our stuff in the attic as we start to put it up there?

I can only recommend that you put small stuff in boxes and label them. Make a list of what is inside each box and put the list on top.

I prefer to use the plastic totes that you can get at Wal-Mart. They are very inexpensive and come in a zillion sizes which makes organizing easier but then who am I to talk. My house is still a disaster.

It is the end of year again and that time for me to go through all the stuff in our own, its going to be a pain but I do try to hit it up at least 3x/year to see things semi tolerable up there.

We never like cleaning the attic but well all sure love having one to store things in.
