Question Best economical powerful cleaners

What are some of your favorite powerful cleaners that don't cost a fortune, yet they work really well? My husband was fussing because we are out of Purple Power. He likes to use it to wash his work clothes in it, as they get pretty greasy from working around machines all day. He swears by the stuff.

So here I go, to make a trip to town to buy him some Purple Power for his clothes. Thankfully, I am able to buy this at Dollar General; so it is not very expensive. What about you? Do you have some favorite cleaners, you could let us know about?

I'm not a big fan of many brands as I am becoming more concerned about our health when we use them. I use a 'natural cleaner' brand that's not too strong but I always make sure I hold my breath when I use it. Otherwise I've found sugar soap watered down makes a great cleaner.
