I have never claimed to be the most organized person, but my house has gotten so out of control is should be declared a disaster zone! I feel like it has gotten so far ahead of me that I can't get it back to normal no matter what I do. I need some advice about how to get control of this mess.

I would tackle it in small steps, maybe a certain area or one room first and then go to the next. That way, you will see the progress as you go along.

I am ruthless when it comes to clutter. I can not stand it because I have gotten to a place where it got out of control. I do not allow my emotions to get involved when I sort through it. Now I consistently get garbage bags and fill them. Everything goes to Good Will.

Thanks! I am determined to tackle the mess this weekend. I don't really have that much stuff that needs to go. It's more an issue of things not being put away. But come Saturday morning that is all going to change! Room by room is probably the way I need to tackle this. What's that saying? Everything in its place and a place for everything!

Even if you do a little every day, over the week it does add up. I try to hit random things, like today I am grabbing all the extra wash to do and get it out of the way (bath rugs, towels, bedding). Then its all set in one single day and with the rugs out of the way I can sweep and mop quickly during my next up & go.
