Default Cutlery

I can't believe that I have managed for so long with a jumbled mess of knives, forks and spoons in a drawer. Last week I picked up a lovely stand, complete with ten of everything. Now I can get to what I need quickly and not risk cutting my fingers in the process!

Yay for new cutlery! At one time I had 3 different blocks of knives, and used them all randomly. I finally got tired of the cluster of knives and gave two away. It's so much easier now that it's simplified.

Sky, I wish I would be lucky enough to have someone pass on a knife block! Were they the type that sharpened inside if it, automatically?

For some reason even though I had two nice sets of cutlery, I always end up with just a few forks. It is like the socks, they mysteriously disappear.

My kids tend to grab my cutlery to use to dig in the dirt. I have tried to break them of doing it but they still do. So I'm always running short of forks and spoons. I've bought them "sand toys" but they still prefer my cutlery. I've randomly found a few but they seem to disappear when the kids use them.

As Barbara said, they disappear like socks. And like the socks, only one of the pair is left, most often the fork. It is so frustrating to find the drawer full of forks and not a spoon in sight.
