Does anyone ever watch the show "Hoarders"? I don't know if it's still on TV but I watch it on Netflix. It's amazing what people will keep, but then I sometimes wonder if I'm not a bit like them. I would love to have a professional organizer come to the house and help me get everything in line.

I am not a keeper. If I haven't used an item in over 6 months I will totally get rid of it. I can't stand having things laying around just because we "might" use them "someday".

I've gotten tired as the family has gotten bigger of running out of things like toilet paper and paper towels. I now keep a stock a rotate out. Nothing as bad as the hoarders, but enough to get us through the sales.

Yes, I've seen it a few times but I do think it is about more then just not being able to get organized. I often wonder what they are like 6 months or so later, if things are still all clean or have they started back to hoarding again.

I have seen it and also seen update shows. It is not about getting organized though, most of them start hoarding for a reason. It is an inability to get rid of things. For some reason they start accumulating things that they may or may not use and they can't part with them.

I LOVE watching that show!! Nothing makes me feel like Martha Stewart more than that show does! I watch those people and look around my own house and it helps me feel less overwhelmed over my "stuff" because I know how it COULD look!!

I have never watched the show myself but I have heard a little about it. Isn't there another show similar to this one but for those people who have a ton of pets?

A lot of the hoarders also have pets so that may be what you are thinking of. I love the show, but it is a bit scary too me as well. Definitely encourages me to try and keep things in check.

I watch this show every week on television. This week there was a woman who was physically abusive to her children and basically told them she regretted them. It was so sad and I think it just goes to show that it's never just hoarding, it's a mental issue accompanied by others.

I have seen it before in commercials only but sometimes even those are scary enough to make you stop watching it. Most times it portrays a person so bad about their habit that its effects their life (food, health, etc.).....its pretty sad.
