My office is a mess! My desk is a mess too! I'm tires of the clutter but I don't know what to do with it. How long should I keep all the papers that I have saved up?
We have the same kind of desk although my office is not inside my home. It is really hard to maintain a neat desk but we can start by sorting the papers. I always store the documents that I don't need on labeled boxes.
I suggest that you make a digital copy of your documents first and then you can decide whether or not you need to throw them.
Oh no! I just can't clear out my desk. If I did, I won't be able to find the documents that I need. It may look messy but it is organized in an orderly disorder so I can find everything I need.
Well it really depends on the papers now doesn't it? I think that if you undergo a major clean up session and regularly maintain it, it should be no problem in the future. You might want to buy a small organizer to store your papers in.
It depends on what they are. I have a two drawer filing cabinet that I put papers that I need to keep long term like taxes. I also have a bendable file folder that I keep for things I need short term like bills.
We went the filing cabinet route. We have 2 two drawer cabinets and when we first organized it took what seemed to be forever. But it's so easy now to just put things in their folder and knowing where to find things later.
Sorting documents is my biggest challenge. It's always difficult for me to throw things even when I know I wouldn't need them anymore. That's why my desk was, is and will always be a mess!
