I really have way to much stuff. Knick Knacks, books, clothes, etc. I try to get rid of stuff because it`s so cluttered but some things are hard to let go of. Like the things my boys made in grade school. I just can`t seem to let them go lol. And they are 21 and 18 now. Other things given as gifts that sit on the shelf collecting dust. And there is no way I can get rid of all my pictures. I have a ton of them in albums, on the shelf in frames. Oh my.

I have the same problem, cchoy. I am a sentimental fool. At times I really have to steel my heart to be able to get rid of mementos that has become junk. Maybe you could share some of the pictures and projects made by your sons with them. They could keep them for themselves.

You have to get to the point that you weigh out the sentimental value vs. the room in your house and the aggravation of upkeep (think dusting). Anything my children made for me I have kept but gift items I only keep if they are something I truly love or truly use. Otherwise, it's not worth it.

The house is certainly a pretty big mess these days, but I have been trying to sell some things over the internet or otherwise which should hopefully free up some room. Generally I would much rather sell something or give it to a friend that I know will appreciate it, than to just dump stuff in the trash or whatever.

I've made up my mind to de-stash so things are going away at my house. I'm selling some on the internet and some are going to the thrift shops around my home. I am tired of moving everything to clean all of the time so it's going out the door.
