Default How much time do you spend cleaning?

We have a three bed/2 bath house which is fairly spacious. I feel like too much of my time is spent on cleaning, plus there's the yard and the redecoration to fit in. Even though I share the chores with my husband I am getting tired of it.

I used to go crazy trying to keep everything perfect all the time until I finally accepted that it's impossible. In the winter I focus on inside stuff, and in the summer I focus on outside stuff.

I clean a bit all of the time. If I don't things get too much ahead of me. I don't do a lot at a time but I am always catching something that needs to be done.

I spend way too much time cleaning. I would love for the "cleaning fairie" to come at night and clean up the house! I wish I could win the lottery so I could have many houses. When one got dirty we would move to the next.

I think cleaning your house once a week is very important. I can't say that I always keep up with it, but that's been my goal since getting my own place.

I don't really clean that much. I know I probably should but I just get so caught up in what I'm doing each day, that I forget to clean up. I guess I just kinda clean as I go.

Thanks for the answers. Marlie, you are too funny! I think I may concentrate on a little a day and maybe hire someone to come in once a week and do the major cleaning.

I clean a big part of everyday. Staying home with my kids is wonderful and I wouldn't trade it for the world. However it also means we have way too much time to mess up the house. It's a never ending job.

I clean once a week, but I should really do more than that. It's amazing how dirty and messy things can get in a weeks time. I just can't find it within myself to spend a chunk of my day everyday cleaning.

I really enjoy cleaning and keeping up my house. Its just the time constraints of everything else like work that keeps me from spending as much time as I would like on it. I would like to spend about 3 hours a day but end up spending only about an hour a day. I find it to be therapeutic and like I have a nest to be proud of.
