I struggle to keep those odds and ends contained but refuse to allow more than one drawer for it. I love knowing that it contains all manner of treasure, and most things do come in useful one day, so I can justify the space.

We don't have any junk drawers - not in the house anymore. We have junk drawers in the garage though - there are a lot of them in the garage. I never can find anything though that I'm looking for.

I had to organize my junk drawer recently, and I wondered why I have to keep many of those junk in there. I had to dump about half of them in the garbage.

I did not used to have any junk drawer and I was so proud of that. Now I have one in the kitchen. It used to hold all the potholders, then the scissors got put in there, now to go menus and birthday candles. It's driving me crazy!

Come to think of it we don't have a junk drawer at our house either. I do, however, have a closet that has stuff for sewing and decorating that I might still want to use.

Our space always seems to get bigger and bigger and I try really hard to keep it small but there always seem to be more things that need to go in the drawer(s).

Wow, I don't know how so many of you manage without a place for all those odds and ends. Mine gets cleared out quite often but mostly it's full of things that have no permanent home elsewhere. It's essential to me to have one though.

We have junk bowls instead, we keep three in the living room on the soda table. One is his, one is hers and one is shared. Each is used as a double sort too. Mine has the silver change in it (along with other stuff), his has the pennies (and his stuff) and the shared is more of its own bowl of random items.
