I had a bad experience of losing my pictures when my computer crashed a year or so ago. Good thing there is Picasa now, where I can store my pictures online and I can access them even from an internet cafe.

I have three hard drives. It is a good thing that they are cheap now. I have them backed up three fold just in case. I lost my iPhone last year with over 200 pictures I had forgotten to pass to my computer, and those were lost. Now I make sure to back everything up at least every other week.

I have my pictures on my laptop, on a jump drive, and also in hard copy. I organize them every few months and get them all printed so we still have traditional photo albums to flip through.

I am such a procrastinator that now I have thousands and thousands of photos and don't even know how to start organizing them. I just got a flash card and a digital picture frame. I think I will be happy with just letting them run randomly.

I invested in an inexpensive flash drive that I use only for photos. I was having some computer problems so I had to figure out a way to save my photos so I could upgrade my computer without losing them.
