Default Pot Lids Are Killing Me!

The other day I was starting supper and I went to get a pot out of the cupboard. When I opened the the cupboard, one of the huge skillet pot lids fell out on my foot. Now I am limping and I have a huge bruise on my foot. Is there a way to organize these things?

I've seen lid organizers in some magazines. I don't know how else to organize them. They have a few different types but I don't know of anything to do without buying one of these.

We have most of our lids stored in our warmer drawer under the oven. Not really great when I actually want to use the warmer, but that doesn't happen often. We also bought a small storage stackable to house the rest of the lids. I think we have more lids than pots and pans...

You can store them in a cupboard below using an old dish rack and get crazy looking for the right lid for the pot you are using.

I have a cupboard that has a half shelf in it. I try to keep the pot lids up there. But it doesn`t work very well. They always fall on the pots and pans. I`m also trying to figure a better way to store them. I don`t even know if they all fit a pot or pan lol.

An old dish rack sounds like a perfect solution. Of course in my large extended family, where pots are borrowed, I don't always get my pot tops back, so I don't have a problem with storage.
