Default Sorting

I need to do a whole lot of sorting in my house. Would it be better to take a few days from work and do it all at once or do it in small portions after work over a couple of weeks?

I suggest that you take a few days from work to make a start and do the rest in small portions for the rest of your life. It never ends.

I definitely agree with homeworker. My mom would take a week off just to do all the necessary things to arrange and fix in the house.

I also agree that chores will never end. As my father always say "you will only stop working when you are dead."

I completely agree with Homeworker and Justin. I am actually making my start at re-organizing on Monday since my mom agreed to keep the baby.

Sorting is one thing that I seem to always have left to do. Seems that no matter how much I sort, it never all gets sorted. I work at it almost every day too.

Sorting honestly is an endless task. This is something that you need to do frequently. I don't think taking off work for a few days is going to help you much.

I agree that sorting needs to be done in regular basis and not just in one day. But taking one day off to sort things out will help a bit because it will lessen many unsorted things. You can do this on weekends. You must then regularly sort things little by little each day for you not to be swamped by unsorted things.

Right now I have mad sorting of papers to do. I tried to set aside a day and then ended up not getting it done, because I had too many other things to take care of.

I agree with you. You need a good start to allow you see the result immediately. It will encourage you to continue sorting and keep your house organized.

It depends on how you work. If you take time off from work will you work on sorting? Or will you do something else?

I never take vacation days to clean! I clean, organize and sort on the weekends in the morning when everyone is sleeping.
