Default The toys are thinning out

So I finally got fed up. I have worked on getting rid of things and I've just about done it. The kids rooms are looking much nicer. I went through there things yet again and threw a ton into two huge boxes, then took the boxes down to the water department and told them to find them a new home! LOL Anyone else resorting to this?

Sounds like you're making some good progress: congrats! My mother used to give each of us kids an office box right before Christmas each year, and she would make us fill the box with toys we didn't use anymore to be donated to Salvation Army. We were always ready to make room for the new toys coming in for Christmas!

Ah I am going to check into that Homebody! I haven't thought of trying to donate to the Salvation Army. I have not ever saw any posters or stations around this area but I am really going to check on that. Right before Christmas is a GREAT time to thin out again!

The house can become very cluttered without good organizational skills I have found. I like everything to have a place and in some sort of order. When the kids leave their toys in the living room, they know they're in big trouble. I always threaten to throw them out, so they pack them away nicely quick smart!

Mine are hard headed most of the time and I have been known to throw many toys away. well that is what they think. I just throw them in a bag and when they go to school or something then I take them to the collection place lol.
