Default Vacuums

I have had it with my vacuum and I need to get a new...but which brand? I have a Eureka now and I hate the thing. And I have A LOT of animal hair in the house so it has to be a pretty good one, but I don't have the money to be spending $400 on a vacuum right now. Are there any good ones out there in the $100-$150 range?

You've really got to buy a vacuum specially for animal hair. I have seen serveral for around $300 at the cheapest. I recommend try before you buy and don't let the sales assistant push you in to anything you don 't want. Put your hand up to the nozzel and check the suction. Check the quality of the parts and also if it's a well known brand.

I haven't bought a new one in years and I still love my current Kenmore vacuum which was a bit over $300 when I bought it. My one desire when I bought it was not to have to change those belts and this model I have does not have a belt. It uses bags, but I don't care about that. Just happy I don't have to deal with the belt anymore.

The vaccuum I want is called a dyson. They have all different kinds. I know they have one especially for pet hair. They are on the pricey side, but I heard they last forever.
