Default Where do I put my gear?

I need help with organizing my work clothes! My work clothes consist of a uniform, a duty belt, belt keepers (leather strips that snap my duty belt to my pants belt), bullet proof vest, portable radio, and my boots. Other than my duty gun, which is locked in the gun safe every night, my gear pretty much gets dumped wherever I happen to be standing when I get undressed. My wife is getting tired of it, and I don't know how to organize it. Any suggestions on how I can corral the "mess"? I hate being late for work because my stuff is never in the same spot.

Have you ever seen those men's valet stations? They are a little stand that has a place to hang your shirt, pants, and a front caddy for your stuff like wallet, watch, cuff links, or whatever. I found one for sale HERE. Maybe this would be a solution for you? I feel your wife's pain!! My hubby is the same way!

A caddy sounds like the best trick for it, I know years ago my ex used something similar (he's a correctional officer for a place in MD). I have yet to see one that is set for a women though, you know the kind with a mirror too.

That's a lot of gear, James!! Those valets are great! My dad used to have one and it kept him very organized. I can understand your wife's frustration. My husband doesn't have that much stuff to cart around on a daily basis, but he still makes a mess everywhere!

Especially, for your boots, bulletproof vest, and portable radio, it sounds as if a guy's locker or cabinet is in order! Though, I'm sure your wife does not want a locker in the bedroom. Maybe finding an attractive locker type style, or tucking a large cabinet in the closet, could be a solution.

What if you could empty out a hall closet that would have room to put the locker in? This way its out of sight and somewhat out of mind??
